Two Chops - episode 6
She liked up north, liked the ignorance of folk and the over-friendly way to get to know one another. Hannah felt disappointed with herself. You see all these friendly folk, making it hard to switch off and satisfy a pang of hunger.
Now Stu had tattoos and fit the prime quota of Northern men that hung around supermarket skips to scavenge anything going free. She saw him as prime beef, veins of fat competing with tough muscle. Hannah wanted to bring out the tenderness. So, on a first meeting, she worked quickly, plied him with the right words and got herself a bargain for tonight.
Stu, on the other hand, saw his body as a temple. He consumed to gain strength from strange ritual practices that led him to pursue his belief that superhuman strength lies in both man and woman.
Tonight he had found beauty by the name of Hannah, a lean piece of meat, perfect for the pot and his consumption. Stu felt the need to have a balanced diet, and Hannah was his dish for tonight.
As for Mervin, well, he had cried into his pillow that night thinking about what might have been if he had dropped the vegan act. Well, it is her loss, the voice in his head kept saying.
He soon had something else to think upon. He wondered if fruit and vegetables had skeletons, what would they look like?
It was something to occupy his mind when he went to the lavatory. He felt over Hannah, now.
to be continued…

Thanks for reading and discovering my short story pieces. I hope they go on to entertain you in the coming weeks. I feel there is more to write from the other side of midnight…
